LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - In his first move since deciding not to direct "The Hobbit" movies, Guillermo del Toro has decided to bring Disney's Haunted Mansion ride to the big screen.
And this time, it might not suck! A few years back, the Disney company sacrificed creativity for $$$ after the popularity of the Pirates of the Caribbean flick. They rush released a slew of movies based off their most popular theme park attractions.
PETER Jackson is reportedly set to direct the two Hobbit films. Jackson - who directed the Lord of the Rings trilogy - has been in talks with Warner Bros./New Line and MGM.
Let's face it, Guillermo del Toro was a perfect choice to direct The Hobbit. Boundlessly creative and visually distinctive, del Toro would have been able to give the Lord of the Rings prequel a different tone from the epic triptych.
